About the Event
Petrobras is one of the world’s leading energy companies. As such, it relies heavily on high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure for various workloads, ranging from seismic processing to reservoir simulation, and more recently, artificial intelligence. Today it operates several TOP500-ranked supercomputers, including the Pegasus and Dragão systems. This presentation will provide an overview of Petrobras’ HPC infrastructure history.

HPC Advisor
Guilherme works as IT HPC advisor at Petrobras where his responsibilities include defining, implementing, and troubleshooting software and hardware infrastructure relating to Linux clusters for seismic data processing. He earned his Master’s degree in Systems Engineering and Computer Science from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro,
