About the Event
Engineers and Scientists are continuously looking to optimize and accelerate their scientific computations while being able to tackle more complex, higher fidelity, and tightly coupled simulations. Traditionally, the lack of optimized and finite HPC hardware “on-site” has been the major barrier to achieving this objective. On top of preventing engineering teams from being agile this leads to canceled projects and missed revenue due to inefficient usage of hardware and long queue times. Further, the finite on-site hardware ages with constant use and leads to costly updates and maintenance that ties up capital that could be invested in other areas.
With the advent of HPC grade architecture in the cloud many of these engineering challenges can be solved but most organizations lack the technical expertise to integrate and leverage these solutions on their own. That is where Rescale fits in. As the need for HPC in the cloud continues to grow, Rescale has created an intelligent platform that allows companies to be software driven. With access to diverse HPC architecture from the major cloud providers, engineering teams can now think software first and optimize their models – without the constraints of fixed HPC resources. This “Lunch and Learn” session will be a walkthrough of the cloud HPC solution offered by Rescale and how the ‘built for the cloud’ approach optimizes performance and cost to deliver the needs and outcomes required by the enterprises of today.
We will cover the following topics:
- HPC Architectures and Trends in the Public Cloud
- Rescale HPC Solution Overview
- Walkthrough of submitting an HPC workload on the Rescale Platform
- Overview of IT/HPC Admin Functionality
