A Lunch & Learn Round Table Discussion Meeting

Build, Compute, Visualize: Cloud Computing and the path to HPC on Demand.

In this technology overview you will learn about how purpose built clouds for computation are changing the game for HPC on demand.  Build, Compute, and Visualize describe the workflow for building and scaling HPC applications on JARVICE.  This workflow maps to the steps of the most demanding use cases, including (but not limited to) Seismic Processing, Enterprise Analytics, CAE, and Bioinformatics.

Nimbix’s JARVICE is the leading purpose-built platform for HPC applications, delivered as a service from a scalable cloud infrastructure.  It seamlessly enables heterogeneous accelerated computing on any mix of multi-core, many-core, GpGPU, and FPGA systems.  Delivered as a platform rather than infrastructure, JARVICE maximizes time to value for HPC developers and users alike.

Presenter’s Bio:

Leo Reiter – Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Reiter is Nimbix’s CTO, where he is responsible for technology strategy and development, focusing on innovation and unique IP.  He has spent the past two decades in the software industry, with a strong focus on cloud computing and scalable infrastructure.

Prior to Nimbix, Mr. Reiter Co-founded and served as CTO of Virtual Bridges for over a decade, where he pioneered Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and the technology behind Desktop-as-a-Service.  He began his career in the telecommunications industry, as an architect for carrier-grade infrastructures and applications.
