Abstract: The growing need to leverage large amounts of underutilized data has led to the use of sophisticated methods for analysis and high-end visualization in conjunction with High Performance Computing. Analytics is a unique opportunity for forecasting, data mining, optimization, predictive analysis, and high-end visualization.

Oasis is a unified platform for visualization, processing, interpretation and decision making:

  • New distributed hybrid architecture
  • Desktop application
  • App clearing house for E&P technology
  • Connects users to technology, data and services via the cloud
  • Runs on desktop, but interfaces to cluster and cloud

Presenter Bio:

John D. Almon, CEO Advanced Seismic Technologies.

 

John was a senior Software Engineer at Stage Stores, Inc. from 1999 to 2002 with a focus on terabyte scale database design and architecture.

John is an alumnus of Rice University in Computer Science and graduated with an M.B.A. from Rice University in May of 2004.

 

John has been involved in programming and architecture of HPC and GPU solutions for many years and is currently the CEO of Advanced Seismic Technologies a leader in distributed computing and modern software design for the geoscience industry.
